The original 800 immigrants to Pella endured lengthy and sometimes horrific ship journeys. Rev. Robert Schoone-Jongen, professor emeritus at Calvin University in Grand Rapids, will present “First Class, Second Class, Steerage: Three Voyages from Rotterdam to Hoboken and Beyond.” The experiences of three passengers, one in each class, will be the focus.
